Jatindra Lal Tripura, MP-elect from Khagrachhari, at a press conference here yesterday said he will do his best to fully implement the Chittagong Hill TYacts(CHT).

"I will prove that only AL government has the good intension to implement the accord ", he said. Only Awami League government worked for indigenous people earlier, he added.

He also said he will try to ensure security of all In the hills--Bangalccs and indigenous people of all ethnic minorities.

Peace returned to the CHT after signing of the peace accord on December2, 1997 during AL government and development initiatives followed that, Jatindra told the press conference held at his office in the hill town.

“A new chapter will begin now", the newly elected Awami League leader said.
