Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd has sought applications along with paintings from young artists of the country for the company's annual young painters' art competition, says a press release.

The artists will have to be Bangladeshi residents and aged between 18 and 35 years to take part in 'The 13th Berger Young Painters' Art Competition'.

The first prize for the competition will be Tk 40,000, second prizeTk 30,000, third prize Tk 25,000, and fourth, fifth and sixth prize will be Tk 20,000. These six award-winning paintings will be used in the company's annual corporate calendar for 2009.

The award giving ceremony will be held later this year. The last date for submission of the colour photographs (size: 5R) is July 26,2008.

Documentary evidence of SSC certificate issued by first class gazetted officer along with an attested colour photograph should be submitted as proof of age. Any artist can send as many entries (i.e paintings) as he or she wishes.
