The Dhaka University (DU) authorities have expelled seven students for different tenures from their examinations for adopting unfair means in the exam halls.

The decision was taken on May 26 by the syndicate, the highest decision making body of the university, following recommendation of the disciplinary body?

Of them, two students of Ziaur Rahman Hall were fined Tk 3,000 each as punishment fees. The syndicate also gave decision not to publish their results until they submit new research monographs of their

courses.

A bond was taken from a 4th year student of Shahidullah Hall after issuing a cautionary notice while a master's student of Jagannath Hall was expelled from three examinations including the one in which he adopted illegal means.

A second year student of Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall was expelled from her two exams, while a third year student of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall and a fourth year student of Surya Sen Hall were expelled from their two exams.
