The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) yesterday submitted a final report (FRT) clearing Beximco Holdings Ltd Chairman Sohel F Rahman, vice chairman Salman F Rahman, former Arab Bangladesh Bank Ltd managing director (MD) CM Koyes Sami and seven others of a case filed for misappropnatingTk 191.39 crore.
Meanwhile the corruption case against detained former BNP lawmaker Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu and his Nasima Akhter Kalpana was shifted yesterday to a special court at the Sangsad Bhaban premises for trial.

tax. to a special court for its trial. CASE AG AINST BEXIMCO ACC Assistant Director Mojibur Rahman, also the investigation officer (IO) of the case, submitted the FRT to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s (CMM) Court of Dhaka.
The other discharged accused are former Arab Bangladesh Bank Ltd MD Abu Hanif, former officials MA Awal and Tawhidul Islam, Beximco Holdings Ltd Directors Iqbal .Ahmed. MA Qasem. Osman Kaiser Chowdhury and ex-official Binoy Krishna Nath.
In the probe report, the 10 mentioned that the case was filed against the accused on charges of fraudulently obtaining a bank loan of Tkl91.39 crore. But the charges brought against the accused were not proved. Moreover, the accused has paid all the h^ux taken from the bank, the 10 said.

On October 1 last year, ACC Assistant Director Mahbubul Alam filed the case with the Motijheel Police Station where he alleged that the accused showed 151.51 acresof Gazipur land as security for the loan, though the land belonged to the government and others.
The former bank officials were also accused in the case as they provided the loan without checking the documents that later turned out to be forged.
PINTU CASE
Senior Special Judge Mohammad Azizul Haque of Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court sent the graft case against Pintu and his wife to the Special Coun-7 for its trail.
Detained Pintu and his wife Kalpana, now on bail, were present in the court during yesterday’s hearing.
The ACC filed the case against the couple for amassing illegal wealth and concealing their wealth information from ACC.
The 10 of the case, ACC Assistant Director Nasiruddin Ahmed, submitted the charge sheet against Pintu and his wife to the CMM Court on October 2 last year, showing 61 individuals as prosecution witnesses.
On June 13, ACC Assistant Director Nurul Alam filed the case with Hazaribagh Police Station against the couple for concealing Tk 21.88cr in their wealth statements submitted earlier to the ACC.
FALU CASE
The same court transferred the tax evasion case against Falu to the Special Court-6 for its trial. The National Board of Revenue (NBR) on May 27 filed the case Falu for dodgingTk 2.75 crore in income tax between 1996 and 2006.

NBR showed Falu's tax evasion upon his income ofTk 11,21cr from 1996 to 2006.
Falu, political secretary to former premier Khaleda Zia, also owner of private satellite television channels Ntv and Rtv. and a daily newspaper Amar Desh, was arrested from his Dhaka Cantonment residence on February 6 last year.
The army-led joint forces seized government relief materials from Falu’s factory in Savar on February 9. Ashulia police filed a case against Falu and several other unnamed officials and employees of the factory.
Falu was earlier convicted for five years for misuse of relief materials.
