Bangladesh Ansar defeated Pabna 3-1 in the final at the Volleyball Stadium to lift the Pepsi 18th National Women’s Volleyball Championship title yesterday.

On way to their fourth tide, Ansars won the four-setter 25-17,18-25,25-17and25-17.

Rajshahi clinched third place defeating Gazipur 25-13,25-13,25-4.

Pabna's Priti and Nipa were adjudged tournament's best defender and best centre respectively while Farhana of Rajshahi received the best attacker award.

Former Army Chief and exvolleyball federation president Lt Gen (ret) Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman distributed trophies as chief guest after the final. Bangladesh Volleyball Federation president Golam Quddus Chowdhury and general secretary Mohammad Ahisur Rahman were also present.
