A last over drama saw Dhaka steal a o n e - r u n victory over

Chittagong in the ninth round one-day of the 9th National Cricket League at the Chittagong Divisional Cricket Stadium yesterday.

On the other hand, championselect Rajshahi suffered their second defeat when the lost by six wickets to Khulna at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium while Sylhet handed a 12-run defeat to Barisal at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium inBogra.

DHAKA-CHITTAGONG

Saju Dutta was left to hit a boundary off the last ball against left-arm spinner Mosharraf Hossain to eclipse Dhaka's total of 248 but he managed three to ensure the visi- tor's victory in the nail-biting finish.

But it seemed an easy task for the home team when they needed to score only seven from the last over with two wickets in hand but Mosharraf turned the table on Dhaka by conceding only three runs in first four balls and Mohammed Sharif got a run out.

Pacer Sharif earlier revived Dhaka's hope by taking four wickets for 44 runs in 9 overs and was later adjudged man-of-the-match.

Chittagong rode on Faisal Hossain's 86 and Nazimuddin's 53 to make a bold reply.

On the other hand, Dhaka's innings built around on Mosharraf s 51 and Mahmudullah Riyad's 45.

KHULNA-RAJSHAHI

Rajshahi succumbed to Khulna's pace trio of Ziaur Rahman, Rabiul Islam and Monjurul Islam to be

bundled out for 75 runs in 20.5 overt.

Zia claimed four for 39 runs and Rabiul captured four for only 7. Monjurul took the other wickets for 32 runs.

In reply, Khulna rattled to 80 for 4 in 23 overs.

SYLHET BARISAL

A blazing 80 by Alok Kapali helped Sylhet score 207 in 44.3 overs.

Talha Jubair captured three wickets for 38 and Arafat Salahuddin took three for 58 runs.

Despite Rokibui Hasan's 78 and Arafat Salahuddin s 57, Barisal s chase ended on 195 scored in 49.2 overs.
