Executive President of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Colonel (retd) Oli Ahmed yesterday demanded removal of the chief election commissioner (CEC) through a supreme judicial council for 'violating' the oath by telling a lie.

Chairman of Mehedi group MM Khaled Saifullah led the newcomers to the LDP.

"The president and chief adviser to the caretaker government is yet to prove his neutrality. From his activities, it seems Prof Iajuddin is still the president of BNP," Oli said.

Leaders and activists of the LDP along with other political parties will take to the street after November 12 if the demands for ensuring free and fair elections are not met, the LDP leader said.

LDP would not indulge in any activities that create public inconvenience, he said.
