The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism yesterday removed three top brass of Bangladesh Biman from their jobs on corruption charges.

Ahsan Kadir (Director Planning), Abdus Salam (Director Administration) and Mazharul Islam (Director Customer Service) have been removed from their jobs,

said Captain Helal, convenor of Biman Sammilito Sangram Parishad (BSSP) and president of Bangladesh Airline Pilots' Association (BAPA).

However, another director (Marketing and Sales), infamous for his corruption, Mahmudur Rahman, was not on the removal list as he is the cousin of late president Ziaur Rahman, claimed BSSP and BAPA leaders.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir last Sunday assured the employees of Bangladesh Biman of taking action against the corrupt officials of the organisation.

Mirza Fakhrul also assured Biman Officials of removing top corrupt officials including the four directors infamous for their corruption, sources said.

Biman employees and officials under BSSP have been demanding removal of corrupt high-ups and make Biman solvent since the last month.
