Popular Islamic talk show on ATN Bangla Islam ki boley, amra ki kori has received The Asian City-Dhaka Cultural Reporters unity (DCRu) Award 2005 as the 'Best Islamic Programme' in the television category. Establishment secretary Dr Mahbubur Rahman presented the award at the National Theatre Stage, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy recently, according to a press release.

The programme is the first Islamic talk show in the country and has been aired on ATN Bangla since 2004. The talk show aims at breaking the traditional mould through identifying and discussing national and international issues from an Islamic perspective. The topics include political instability, social injustice, poverty, unemployment, terrorism, corruption, world security, price hike of essentials and tolerance in Islam. Noted political leaders, political analysts, educationists, bureaucrats, lawyers, legislators, journalists, women activists and

members of other religious communities participate in the discussions.

Shamsher Ali, the talk show is aired every Friday at 10:30am and every Wednesday at 4:20pm.
