Captain Rahul Dravid on Monday said the Indian team had shown it had the depth to make up for the absence of Sachin Tendulkar and that it would become even better when the master batsman returned.

"Any team would miss a batsman like him, but the team has shown that it has the depth and that it can win irrespective of who is there or who is not there," Dravid said after India's 49-run victory in the third one-dayer against England here.

"It is good for the team and it will become even better when Sachin returns to the squad." Dravid said the failure of his top order batsmen was not a major concern.

"Not particularly. I expect them to fire in this series. But it has been a long season," the Indian captain said.

"There is going to be one or two batsmen out of form and it is the quality of the team to respond to that.

"We have to take up responsibility as a team and that is what we have been doing." Dravid did not agree that the win, seventh in a row, meant India had a psychological hold on England.

"The last 15 overs set the game for us. But each match starts from zero. We have to keep our concentration and continue to play good cricket."
