Five supplementary charge sheets were submitted here in a court yesterday in connection with the August 17 blasts in Satkhira accusing 19 people.

On October 10 last year, the investigation officer (IO) of five cases CID ASP Munshi Atique submitted five separate charge sheets under the Explosive Substances Act with the court accusing 17 people including JMB chief Shaekh Abdur Rahman, JMJB chief Bangla Bhai and military commander of JMB, Ataur Rahman Sunny.

addresses of the accused and ordered the IO of the cases to submit supplementary charge sheets.

After fresh enquiry, IO Munshi Atique submitted the supplementary charge sheets yesterday before the magistrate of the cognizance court that include two new accused.

They are Ismail alias Habibur Rahman of village Charshi Khalifapara in Sadar and Rakib Hassan alias Russell of village Banshi Bailtala in Nandail upazilain Jamalpur.

The IO also named Asaduzzaman Hajari of village Kesmatpur in Keshabpur upazila in Jessore whose address was missing in the charge sheet submitted earlier.

The other accused are Abdullah, Nasir Uddin Dafadar, Momtaz, Asadul Islam, Abul Khair, Nayeem, Fakar Uddin Raji, Maniruzzaman Munna, Khokon, Noor Ali and Habibur Rahman of Satkhira, Mahbubur Rahman Liton of Koira upazila in Khulna and an Indian national Gias uddin.

In the charge sheets, the IO confirmed that the accused in collaboration with each other blasted bombs in five points in the town on August 17.
