Opposition Awami League will observe the liistoric June 7 marking thesix-pointDay.

On the occasion, national and party flags will be hoisted al all Awami League offices across the country at 5:30am and wreaths will be placed at the portrait of Bangabandhu at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in the city at 8:00 am.

The party will also arrange a discussion meeting at the Engineers Instituteat3:00pm.

Moudud's remark condemned

Leaders of Sammilita Ainjibi Somonnoy Parishad in a joint statement yesterday condemned the call of Law Minister Barrister Moudud Ahmed to declare few eminent lawyers unwanted.

"Moudud's call to declare Bangladesh Bar Council Vice Chairman Barrister Rokanuddin Mahmud, Supreme Court Bar Association President Mahbubey Alam and Secretary Enayetur Rahim unwanted is nothing but an insult to thejiidiciary,"thestatementsaid.

In the statement, Convenor of SI immilita Ainjibi Shomonnoy P rishad Barrister M Amir-Ul-Islam, nt Convenor Barrister Shafique .med. Advo ic Shahara Khatun, Advocate ZI Knan Panna, Advocate Lackuzzaman Mollali and Member Secretary Advocate Subroto Chowdhury said the remark was aimed at capturing the autonomous organisation.
