Brazil's Football Federation (CBF) declared Tuesday that no players have been excused from Confederations Cup duty, in what will be viewed as thinly-veiled reference to Barcelona striker Ronaldinho.

Barcelona, according to a recent report in German magazine Spiegel, want Ronaldinho to be part of their squad when they travel to Japan to play two friendlies on a post-season promotion tour.

The Spanish league giants have organised friendly matches against Yokohama Marinos on July 12 and Urawa Red Diamonds three days later that will net the Catalan club around three million euros (3.87 million dollars).

Barcelona, claimed Spiegel, had been assured by the CBF that they would free Ronaldinho from national duty.

But a statement on the CBF website Tuesday appeared to deny that information, adding that no clubs had approached them to ask for any players to be excused.

The Confederations Cup involves eight teams - hosts Germany, Greece, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Japan, Mexico and Tunisia - and will be held in Germany from June 15-29.
