Indian men's and women's teams both qualified for this year's World Bridge Championships in Portugal after topping the Open team event and women's team event tables in the Asia and Middle East Regional Bridge Championships at the end of the three-tier round robin league at Hotel Sonargaon yesterday.

India and Jordan, the top two in men's competition with 274 and 256 points respectively, will meet in today's final.

Pakistan will accompany Indian women's team to the finals after finishing second in the table. The India-Pakistan women's final will also be held today.

Bangladesh ended fifth in both groups.
