Bangladesh Island Front-backed Olama Mashayekh mayor candidate Allama Abul Kashem Noori yesterday pledged to make Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) corruption free and run it keeping transparency to ensure civic amenities.

He was speaking at a press conference at a local hotel here.

He vowed to bring about the required developments of the city and take measures for religious education side by side with the general ones.

He said that tire two main candidates in the mayoral race had been availing of the undue facilities of their posts and using government properties and logistics in carrying out electoral campaigns.

They are also spending huge money in violation of die electoral rules and creating an uneven competition, he said
