Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad yesterday expressed concern at overall situation, especially price hike of essential after the budget was passed.

"Due to inflation, people's purchasing capacity has decreased. Besides, recession has been created in business following imposition of excessive tax and VAT, prompting the business community to become vocal against the budget," Ershad said while he was presiding over his party's presidium meeting at Banani office.
