Arambagh Krira Sangha stormed into the Super Six phase of the Nitol-Tata 3rd National Football League after trouncing Jagarani Club of Jamalpur 6-1 in the last Group A

fixture at the Khulna Stadium yesterday.

Arambagh, the experienced Dhaka Premier League outfit, went into the match needing to win by four goals atleast to book a Super Six ticket ahead of Jhenidah Mohammedan and did their job in style with Kenyan recruit Okimo Oinu and substitute forward Ashraful Awal Apu both scoring two goals. Shafayet and Bidyut netted one apiece.

The winners led the first half 2-0.

Jewel of Jagarani Club scored the consolation goal for his team at the fag end of the match.

Arambagh secured the third spot in Group A behind Moulvibazar Wanderers Club and Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club with four points from as many matches.

Bidyut of Arambagh was later declared man of the match.

Bangladesh Army will take on Chittagong Mohammedan in a crucial Group B match at the same venue today.
