Two persons were killed and two others injured in bomb explosions at Jahapur village under Babuganj upazila in Barisal district Wednesday, police said.

They said a gang of criminals were making bombs in the house of one Aziz Haji at Jahapur in the evening. Suddenly some bombs exploded, killing two of them on the spot and injuring two others.

The dead were identified as Ripon and Liton while the injured as Selim and Nasir.

The criminals are believed to be members of the outlawed Sharbahara Party, police said.
