Khandkar Aminul Islam led the table with seven points after the eighth round preliminary phase games of the Professor Abdur Razzak 29th National Chess Championship at the Bangladesh Chess Federation auditorium yesterday.

FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed, Sawkat Hossain and Syed Ejaz Hussain were sharing the second position with 6.5 points each.

Following are the eighth round matches results: Amin beat Monjur, Ejaz beat Javed, Rani beat FM Taibur, Lavlo beat Enayet, Parag beat Khorshed and Nasir drew with Pollab.
