The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court in Dhaka yesterday | granted bail to film star Abdur j Razzak, an accused in a criminal I case.

Magistrate AKM Abdus Salam Miah passed the order upon a , bond of Tk 10,000 with two guar-! antors.

Razzak along with his lawyers appeared before the court and i prayed for bail.

In the petition, the lawyers stated that Razzak was impliced in (he case as part of a conspiracy to tarnish his image in the film industry as well as in the society. Mohammad Ruhul Amin, law officer of the Film Development Corporation (FDC), filed the complaint case against Razzak with the CMM's Court on April 17.

In the complaint, Ruhul Amin said Razzak used floor, camera and other things of FDC during the shooting of (he film ‘Maran Niye Khela' last year. Il cost Tk 38,72,973.

Razzak gave two separate cheques for Tk 10 lakh but the cheques were dishonored, the complainant told the court.

After the hearing, the court look the complaint into cognizance and directed the accused to appear before the court by May 12.
