Outgoing Canadian High Com missionin' David Preston yesterday said Bangladesh has great potentials of creating market lor its products in his country.

Appreciating the quality of many Bangladeshi products, the envoy said there is ample scope for expansion of trade and commerce between the two countries.

Preston’s observation came during his farewell call on Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.

The High Commissioner informed the prime minister that around 1,000 Bangladeshi students are now studying in different colleges and universities in Canada that offers safe environment and high quality education.

He also disclosed that a Canadian Education Fair will be held in Dhaka in September.

Khaleda conveyed her warm greetings to the Canadian Prime Minister and extended invitation to him to visit Bangladesh. She also recalled Canadian assistance during drought in Bangladesh at the time of late president Ziaur Bahman.
