Two Bangladesh pairs moved into the mixed doubles semifinals of the JVC Bangladesh Satellite Badminton Championship at the Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur yesterday.

Mohammad Javed and Elina Begum booked their places with an easy 15-1, 15-3 win over Nepal's Anil Kumar and Bina Kumari while Russell Kabir Sumon and Konika Adhikari made it into the semifinals defeating compatriots Enayetullah Khan and Moonmoon Rahman Dola in the quarterfinals.

Mishra of India beat Shah Hossain Ali of Iran 15-13, 15-10.

In men's doubles, Reza and Jalar of Iran moved into the quarterfinals after a 15-4, 15-12 win over Enayet and Palash of Bangladesh.

Also in the last eight are Arvind and Aroop of India, Ismail and Joyson of India, Ars and Hossaini of Iran and Nilufa and Ranasinghe of Sri Lanka.
