AAMA Rob, PDB Chairman Syed Abdul Mayeed, REB Chairman Ziaul Islam Chowdhury, BGMEA Vice Presidents - Quazi Moniruzzaman, Atiqul Islam and BGMEA Standing Committee Chairman on Power, Gas and Tele-communications Mannaf Khan were present.

BGMEA President Kutubuddin Ahmed presided.

Kutubuddin apprised the state minister of the problems relating to power supply being faced by his members. He urged the government to exempt the peak hour electricity rate for the garments exporters and-allow them to use 75 ■ kilowatt power instbad of 50 kilowatt without ^setting' up substations.

Kutubuddin also requested the government to let the garment factories know in advance about loadshedding and give the chance again to pay' outstanding bills by installments.
