The British Council donated 150 world-famous books to some leading educational institutions of the port city at a simple ceremony at its Chittagong branch yesterday.

The books included classics and autobiography of renowned writers and litterateurs, and those of literature, philosophy and history.

I he British Council donated the books to the English department of Chittagong University (CU). ( hittagong Grammar School (CGS) and the Sunshine Grammar School & College.

Chairman of CU English department Prof. Golam Sarwar Chowdhury, Principal of CGS laan Hamson and Principal of Sunshine College Salla Rahman received the books from Julia M. Crocket, Director of the British Council, Chittagong.
