Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) and Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) have given a 7-day ultimatum to the BSS authorities io reinstate the nine terminated journalists.

"We will launch vigorous movement to oust the BSS Managing Director if the dismissed journalists are not reinstated within the period." the union leaders said at a meeting held here yesterday.

The union leaders have strongly condemned the deployment t-l police in BSS office arid putting the office under lock and ke\. None would be able to foil the movement of journalist community by putting the office under lock and key or by forces." they said.

Earlier, they laid a siege to the office of the BSS Managing Director.
