Detective Branch (DB) of police raided Surya Sen Hall of the Dhaka University on Thursday night and arrested three outsiders. Police also recovered a foreign made firearm with bullets from their possession.

Detectives recovered the firearm from room number 110 and two chapaties from room number 507 of the hall.

The arrested outsiders were identified as Mahabub, Rafique and Mahabub.

UNB adds: Residents students of Surya Sen Hall alleged that police beat up innocent students without any reason and ransacked many rooms during one and a half hour raid that began at 11:30 pm.

Meanwhile, the 15 youths, arrested from DU campus during Thursday's gunfight between two JCD factions were produced before the court yesterday. The court rejected their bail prayers and asked police to produce them again on February 3.
