Bangladesh and Britain agreed to make renewed efforts to further expand and strengthen relations between the two countries, particularly through economic cooperation.

The agreement came when Foreign Minister M Morshed Khan met and discussed bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest with his British counterpart Jack Straw on the sidelines of the 18th meeting of Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group (CMAG) in London on Wednesday.

Morshed Khan had also opportunities to exchange views on issues of mutual interest with Foreign Ministers of Australia, Barbados, Botswana, Canada, Nigeria and Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

The FM led the Bangladesh delegation at the meeting of CMAG.
