BOC Bangladesh Limited has declared a 44 per cent dividend per ordinary share for the financial year ending September 30, 2001, says a press release.

The dividend was announced at the 29th annual general meeting of the company held in the city on Thursday.

The company's sales improved by nearly 12 per cent over its last financial year ending September 30 2000. It earned Taka 202 million which is more or less at the same level of the previous year.

Speaking on the occasion, the chairman of the company, M Syeduzzaman, told the meeting of the availability of adequate ASU Gases and MS Electrodes capacity to meet the market need. Recently, there had also been enhancement of Carbon Dioxide and Nitrous Oxide production capacity, he added.
