One month has already passed, but the mystery of Murad Chowdhury murder is yet to be unveiled.

Recently this correspondent visited Khaliajuri and interviewed •some local people who told him that the floating body of Murad Chowdhury' was found in Dasspara beel (water body) on December 5 and an unnatural death (UD) case was filed with Khaliajuri Police Station in (his connection. But police could not arrest (he killers of Murad as yet.

Local people disclosed that Murad Chowdhury was a BNP activist before the general election of October 1. But during the election he worked tor Awami League (AL).

According to local people's statement, some BNP activists allegedly took Murad to the house of Lalmia Talukdcr, president of Khaliajuri upazila BNP where (hey allegedly beat him mercilessly and strangled him. After the killing the alleged killers threw the dead body of Murad in Dasspara beel early in the morning.

When this correspondent contacted with Klialiajuri police, they’ told him (hat according to local investigation report it was a murder case. The Second Officer of Khaliajuri police station Kamal Pasha also (old this correspondent (hat they could not arrest the alleged killers as yet though they learnt from secret information supplied by the locals that it was a political killing..
