The three-day 36ih Biswa Iju ma of Tablig Jamaal, the second largest congregation of the Muslims after the Holy Hajj, begins on January' 19 on (he bank of the River Turag al Tongi.

The Akheri Munajal will be held on January 21 al 10 am.

The Ijtema committee and the

dlsiri* i administration sources said all necessary preparations will be taken for the smooth holding ol the 36th Biswa Ijtema. A meeting of the preparatory committee was held at the Ijtema ground on December 29 with (ittzipur Deputy Commissioner Shahab Ullah in the chair.

A huge pandal covering an area of about two square kilometres will be erected to accommodate about two million devotees from home and abroad.

A separate pandal will also be creeled for the foreign participants.

About 10,000 temporary latrines and 250 tube-wells will be installed at the Ijtema site under ihe supervision of Ijtema committee, the sources said.

Bangladesh Army will set up five bailey bridges over the River Turag for the convenience |of the devotees.

Two helipad? will be set up at TSS playground and Harirampur for providing speedy services to the devotees in case of any emergency. the Ijtema sources said.

Bangladesh Railway will operate special train services and BRTC buses will ply between Tongi and different railway stations and district headquarters for the assy movement of the people joining the congregation.
