Former Brazil coach Wanderley Luxemburgo faces a possible five-year prison-sentence after it was decided here on Thursday that he must stand trial for possession of false ID papers.

Hie aflair goes back some to years when, it is alleged. Luxemburgo played for the Brazilian under-21 national side when he was too old to do so.

Current Corinthians coach Luxemburgo's trial was set for May 29 after Federal police showed that he was born May 10 1952 and not May 10 1955 as it says on his birth certificate.

The former Botafogo, Fla-mengo and International de Porto Alegre player is also facing charges ^ of tax evasion to the tune of five million dollars.

Luxemburgo was sacked as national coach last October after poor results in the World Cup qualifiers, public fall-outs with star players and accusations from his former secretary Renata Alves that he took cash payments for recommending players for transfer.
