Prasanna believes Bangladesh captain Naimur Bahman and left

aim spinner Mohammed Rafique doesn't have a problem with their bowling actions any more.

I he GO-year-old from Karna-taka. who arrived in the city on Thursday night at the invitation of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to have a look at off spinner Naimur’s bowling action, gave this opinion after spending an hour with the national skipper and Mohammad RaHque in the nets at the

Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday.

In January, both Naimur and Rafique came under the scrutiny of (he International Cricket Council (l( C) lor suspect bowling actions. I he two had been reported by umpires David Shephard and Steve Bucknor during Bangladesh’s inaugural fest match against India last November.

Talking tn a group of reporters. Prasanna, who is now working with Karnataka Cricket Associa lion and the National t ticket Academv of India in Bangalore as a coach, revealed that Naimur had some minor problems with the positioning ol his body while delivering the ball, which has been corrected without much difficulty.

“ His shoulders remain square on while he delivers . I asked him to bowl with a side on action I could Hod no other flaw in him once he started to do that." Prasanna added.

About Rafique, Prasanna, who look 189 wickets in his 49 Test appearances before retiring in 1978, said (hat the southpaw, who icceived guidance from another rx-lndian Test star Ravi Shastri last week, has already corrected his action.

“ I will have another session with them and 1 am sure nobody will have any doubt about (heir styles after that.” he added.
