A new wild email virus, MYBABYPIC.A, is spreading rapidly through the Internet, according to the Virus Emergency Response Team at Proland Software.

T hey said the new worm is spreading through MS-Outiook and infects Windows 98 and Windows 2000 systems. Windows 95 and Windows NT users also can he affected if the Visual Basic scriptingis enabled.

The worm arrives with (he subject: My baby pic!!! the body of the message reads: It's my animated baby picture!!! Infected email carries an attachment called MYBABYPIC.EXE.

When the attachment is executed if displays a picture of a child. On closing this, it drops itself into WIN DOWS \ SYSTEM directory in various names.

Due (o (his registry modification, worm will be loaded during next windows startup. After this, the worm emails itself to everyone in Microsoft Outlook addressbook. Sometimes this worm also overwrites files with certain extensions.
