SATKHIRA. Dec 11: Indian clothes worth about Taka about 12 lakh were seized in Binerpota area under Sadar upazlla on Friday morning.

Members of border force BDR (Bangladesh Rifles) stopped a truck after a chase and recovered the smuggled clothes, which included sarees. cardigans and sweaters, from the vehicle.

BDR sources said driver of the truck was asked to stop when the vehicle reached near the check post at Taltola. But the driver did not stop the vehicle. The driver, however, escaped arrest.

Seized clothes were deposited to customs warehouse in the district headquarters.

A case was filed with police In this connection.
