SIRAJGANJ, Dec 11: A complaint was lodged at Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) in Dhaka by an aggrieved son demanding proper acUon against three doctors who were allegedly responsible for death of Ills father due to negligence of duty.

Nasiruzzaman Babu, a contractor of Malshapara area here alleged that his father died due to an unsuccessful operation done by three on -duty government physicians at the Ibne-Sina Hospital here recently.

He lodged his complaint in an application through the Notary Public addressing the central president and general secretary

saying that his father Dr Moniruzzaman. a homeopath by profession was initially suffering due to growth of a minor boil at his back.

His ailing father consulted with the three doctors. Th^y suggested him to get the boil operated upon which was not necessary at that time. But their suggestion did not satisfy the both the patient and his son. Then the doctors convinced them saying it wauld require only a lesser amount of money for the purpose. Consequently on October 28 this year the doctors shifted the complainant s ailing father to a private clinic from the general hospital

for operation.

But during operation the on-duty doctors came out of the operation theatre and demanded a big amount of money from the son of the patient. When the patient’s son agreed to their demand, the doctors again entered into the operation theatre. After sometime they came out from there declaring a successful operation. But surprisingly the patient died in the clinic after sometime, the complainant said. He further complained that his father died due to wrong treatment and negligence of duty of the aforementioned three doctors.
