The National ('o-ordliiallng Commitree of Ekatiorer Ghatok Ijnlal Nlrmiil fJommluee yester-d.ty submitted a memorandum to the vice chancellor of Dhaka (hilversfly demanding expulsion <>f Prof Aftab AJimr-d. a teacher ol Depariment of Political Science of the university for his remark dishonouring the National Anthem.

The delegation led by Syed Hasan Imam and Prof Abdul Mannan Chowdhury met the VC Prof AK Azad Chowdhury at his office at noon and submitted the memorandum. The delegation also sought an ap-pointiiient with the Chancellor of the University President Shahabuddin Ahmed to suhmii the memorandum

While addressing a programme al the National Press Club on Saturday. Prof Aftab Ahmed made remark dishonouring the National Anthem

Terming Ahab Ahmed as collaborators of Pakistan . the memorandum said. “It would be dishonouring to the souls of martyred teachers of Dhaka University, if action against Atlab is not taken

Meanwhile, the Dhaka University Syndicate will hold a meeting today to decide the fate of the teacher, sources said

The VC Prof AK Azad Chowdhury yesterday called a syndicate meeting, to be held at the administrative building of the university, sources added.
