RA J S HAH 1. Oct 9: Several hundred people laid siege to the office of the Bagha Upazlla Nirbahl Officer (UNO) this morning demanding security of lives and property from the threat of outlawed Sarbaliara party armed cadres.

The also submitted a memorandum to the Home Minister through the UNO. They said their lives and property w’ere at risk as the Sarbaharamen were continuously threatening them after arrest of four of their members.

Local people. led by a UP chalr-man earlier caught four Sarbahara activists at Char Kalidaskhali with two revolvers, two shutter guns and some bullets and were handed them over to police.

Many armed cadres of the party from northern districts have taken shelter in Bagha and Charghat upazllas after police operation In that region. They have now’ become active in the area. -

In the memorandum, people demanded that the government set up a police camp in the area and take action against the outlawed party.

They also brought out a procession and paraded the thoroughfares of the upazlla head quarters.
