British Secretary of State for Home .Affairs (Home Minister) Jack Straw PC MP arrives in Dhaka today on a two-day official visit to Bangladesh, reports

During his stay, he will hold official talks with his Bangladesh counterpart Mohammad Nasim.

The British Minister will call on the Leader of Ilie Opposition Khaleda Zia. Chief Justice Latifur Rahman and exchange views with representatives of civil society and other prominent figures of the country.

He will also briefly attend a Human Rights and Prison Management Course to be Jointly organised here by Penal Reform International (PRI) and Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST).

Straw will be accompanied by officials from the Home. Foreign and Commonwealth offices in the United Kingdom.

The British Minister will address a press conference prior to Ills departure for London on September 10.
