Muktlr Kotha . a documentary on ordinary people's contribution In the Liberation War in 1971. by Tareque and Catherine Masud will he screened throughout the year in remote areas of the country free of cost.

As part of the programme, a total of 150 shows of the documentary will be organised under courtesy of Square Toiletries Ltd and Ekushey Television (ETV) in different areas.

The official launching ceremony of the one-year pro-gramme will be held at the ritish Council auditorium tomorrow at 6:00 pm. Dr Nilima Ibrahim will inaugurate the programme while State Minister for Information Prof Abu Syeed and Prof Zillur Rahman Siddiqui will be present as chief guest and special guest respectively.

This was disclosed in a press conference yesterday at the auditorium of Dhaka’ Reporters Unity.

While addressing the conference. Tareque Masud said that this sort of film can be screened more extensively through sponsorship and urged upon the

pressmen to publish news ol the screening of this documentary so that all people can know about it.

Responding a question from a journalist. Masud said that the government as well as different NGOs should come for ward to set up a fund to help distressed freedom fighters.

Distressed and disabled freedom fighters (FFs) should be provided with free medical treatment facilities and the government should build a separate hospital for them. Otherwise they should be allowed treatment at the Combined Military Hospitals (CMH1", he opined.

Masud also Informed Journalists that his next film, in the making now. is a fiction based Bangla feature Him. The film, being made with French grants, has a positive story In the background of 60s and it is expected to be completed by the next two years." he said.

He said that the film will be made in 35mm and Dolb\ sound as it will be distributed throughout the wprhl.
