The hearing for framing charge in the Jail Killing Case was not held yesterday since one of the accused fell sick and could not be produced in the Court of Metropolitan Sessions Judge. Dhaka.

Ahmad Jamil Mostafa. Metropolitan Sessions Judge, adjourned the proceedings of charge hearing till July 23.

The court started hearing in this regard on June 27. Charges against 13 absconders and three of the eight arrested accused were heard on that day.

Four national leaders — Syed Nazrul Islam. Tajuddin Ahmed. A H M Quamaruzzaman and Captain Mansur All — were murdered in the Dhaka Central Jail on November 3, 1975. The then DIG Prisons Abdul Awal filed the Jail Killing Case on November 4 the same year under Section 302/34 of the penal code.
