BANDARBAN. Apr<& A bridge over the Meghla lake, a popular tourist spot here, was inaugurated on Monday, re-ports BSS.

Chairman of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board (CHTDB) Bir Bahadur MP formally inaugurated the bridge, about 5 km from the town.

Chairman of Bandarban Hill District Council Thwaing Cha Prue Master. Deputy Commissioner Mohsin Ali Sardar. Bir Pratik and executive engineer of the development board Satyajit Chowdhury, among others, spoke on the occasion.

The bridge, constructed at a cost of Tk 10 lakh is expected to draw a large number of local and foreign tourists.

Speaking on the occasion. Chairman of the CHTDB Bir Bahadur said the primary works for development of the two tourist centres at Kha-grachhari and Bandarban hill districts have already begun with an expenditure of Tk 10 crore.
