Law Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Abdul Matin Khasru yesterday* said the government Is committed to ensuring quick. Just and cost-effective Justice to common people in the country, reports BSS.

He was addressing In seminar on "Case Management and Mediation" organised by United States Information Service in the citv.

The minister urged the Judges to earn skill and expertise of the latest methods and techniques of court and case management for disposal of cases.

He said inordinate delay in the disposal of cases violates human rights and parties praying for justice become prey to a process of fortune, harassment and humiliation.

The minister said the purpose of justice delivery system is to achieve the ends of justice*, nothing other than this. He said, the present government has taken a comprehensive legal and Judicial reform project, one of the components of which is case and court management and mediation. The government welcomes the US proposal to work in partnership to develop and integrated pilot project on case management and mediation, he said.
