Activists of a cadre of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) allegedly beat up two Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leaders of Sir AF Rahman Hall unit of Dhaka University inside the hall canteen yesterday noon.

According to sources, the BCL cadre led by Mamun called Mustafizur Rahman Mamun and Salful Islam Dolon. publicity secretary and literature secretary' of JCD Rahman Hall unit respectively, from their rooms and beat them up inside the hall canteen.

However, no case was lodged with police In this connection till filing this report last night.

The injured were treated at a city hospital.

In a joint statement yesterday. JCD acting president Monjur Elahl. acting general secretary Munshi Bazhu Basit Anju, Manir Hossain and Mostafizul Islam Mamun. JCD DU unit president and general secretary respectively, condemned the incident.
