A court in the city has sentenced three people to life-term rigorous imprisonment in a woman repression case, reports UNB.

The Judge also fined the accused. Kazi Rafiqul Islam Masud. Esker Molla and Zahid Kazi. Tk 10,000 each, in default. to suffer five years more RI.

According to the prosecution. Masud and two of his associates threw acid on Naznln Begum. 17. of village Takhalpur In Sreepur thana on January 15. 1998 when she declined to an indecent' proposal by him.

Judge Zahiruddln Ahmed delivered the judgement on Sunday after examining records and witnesses.
