Leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at a rally on the Dhaka University cam-f>us yesterday urged the BNP-ed four party opposition alliance not to enforce any more hartal for the sake of development of the country.

Terming the 36-hour hartal scheduled to begin today morning as Illogical. they said that such hartal will destabilise the peaceful atmosphere arid destroy the flourishing economy of the country. /

He condemned the opposition for calling the hartal only on the ground of protesting the Public Safety Act and said that the act would save the people from destruction, terrorism, repression on woman and children and extortion.
