The seminar is jointly organised by the Asia and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT). New Delhi and Ministry of Science and Technology. The minister directed the BCSIR authorities to organise a survey team with representatives Irom the Ministry of Industry. Forest and Environment and Science and Technology to find out the extent of pollution created due to waste waler of industries in Dhaka and adjacent areas.
