CHITTAGONG. Dec 31: Transportation of goods to and from Chittagong Port resumed this evening following the withdrawal of a strike enforced by Chittagong Port Truck Owners' Association, reports BSS.

Port sources said that the Port Truck Owners' Association called off the strike following a fruitful meeting held between the officials of Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) and leaders of the Masters' Stevedores’ Association. clearing and forwarding agents and tne truck owners association in the port board room with CPA Chairman Commodore Golam Rabbani in the chair.

The truck owners’ association went on indefinite strike at the port from yesterday evening demanding cancellation of the permission given to a private cement company to cany their cement clinker with their own transports.
