CHITTAGONG. Oct 9: Chittagong International Trade Fair (CITF ’99). the lone privately-arranged internationalstandard trade fair of the coun-UyR will be opened on October

The 22-day trade fair organised by Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) (from Oct 29 to Nov 19) is expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Haslna.

The fair this time will be held at Railway Pologround field. There will be 320 stalls and 36 pavilions of local, and

multi-national companies. Six foreign countries are going to participate in the fair. Four of them — China. India. Pakistan and Iran — have already confirmed their participation while Italy and Nepal are yet to confirm their entry.

CCCI officials expect that foreign companies would occupy ten per cent of the stalls. Display and sales of leather goods, electric and electronics Items, handicrafts and household items will be given priority In the fair.
