Police have been deployed around the three mosques of Ahmadia Muslim Jamaat in the city since Friday last following bomb blast at Kadiani Mosque in Khulna during Jum'a prayers the same day. At least six people were killed and 40 injured in the blast.

"We beefed up security measures around the three mosques after recovery of two explosives from inside a mosque and Janakantha office on Friday." said a senior police official.

About a platoon of policemen were deployed at each of the three city Kadiani mosques. The three mosques are located at Baksibazar tinder Kotwali thana. Nakhalpara under Tej-gaon thana and Sahinbagh under Mirpur thana.
