NOTED singer Swami Zubayeer will present an evening of cultural delight on Friday evening at the Balcony of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the city.

The musical soiree titled "Sham-e-Ghazal". will see Zubayeer appearing before the audience for the sixth time.

The young singer was born in 1973 in Dhaka. He obtained his graduation degree in English literature along with Classical Music and Geography from Kumaun University of India in 1995. Later he completed his masters degree in English from the University of Dhaka.

During his stay in India. Zubayeer got the opportunity of becoming a disciple of Patiala Gharana. He went on to receive taalim (training) under Majhar Ali Khan and Jawad Ali Khan, both grandsons of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, in thumri and ghazaL An apt learner, he soon won the championship trophy in both ghazal and bha-Jan from BM Shah, director of National School of Drama (NSD), Delhi and Maestro Valdev Raj Verma in the year 1992 under 'National Music Conference", held in Nainital. India.
